Double cased pocket watch by Charles Cabrier

A very fine English double cased half quarter repeating verge pocket watch, circa 1736.
Two cases: a brass/gilt outer case with stud decoration on applied shagreen and with a large lateral hinge; a gold inner case with decorated engraved flowers on the pierced band “exotic birds and mascarons”, a signed silver movement protection cap, a pusher for repetition via pendant and a bell. The dial is gold champlevé with inlaid radial Roman hours and blued hands. And it has a very finely florally engraved, signed, firegilt full plate movement with applied floral decorations, chain/fusee, baluster shaped movement pillars, two hammers, keywind, verge escapement, three arm brass balance and pierced balance cock with mascaron.
