An interesting English pocket watch – Massey Type III – with a rare escapement and a stop second for observation purposes, circa 1828.
Fine early, gilt, key wind full plate lever movement – Massey type III – with diamond endstone. Cock denotes patent and the plate is signed and numbered. Enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track, blued steel spade hands, and subsidiary dial for the seconds with blued steel seconds hand. Silver double cased with matching hallmarks from 1828, master’s mark BK, and original dust cover.
