Silver English Massey III lever

An English Massey type three lever in a silver open-faced case, hallmarked London circa 1828. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover. Harrison’s maintaining power. Plain cock inscribed ‘Patent’ on the foot, large diamond endstone. Polished steel regulator with silver sector index on the plate. Plain three arm gilt balance with deep rectangular rim, three-timing screws, blue steel spiral hairspring. Massey type three lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, and gilt hands. Plain silver open face case with ribbed middle. Maker’s mark ‘JW’ and number corresponding to that on the movement.
