Gentleman’s hunting cased pocket watch

A fine and rare 18 carat gold full hunter cased free sprung chronometer pocket watch with power reserve together with original fitted box, circa 1910. Frosted gilt 3/4 plate free sprung chronometer movement and numbered, with helical balance spring.
White enamel dial with black Roman numerals and outer five-minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and up-down dial, blued steel spade hands. Polished round hinged case with monogrammed front and the gold cuvette with personal engraved dedication dated 1915, together with Victor Kullberg fitted box, dial and movement signed.

Victor Kullberg, born in 1824 in Gothland (Sweden), then Stockholm, then worked for Louis Urban Jurgensen, Copenhagen Denmark, then at Cloudesly Terrace, Islington, London 1850-1851.
Award for chronometer improvements, Liverpool Road, London (mid 19c?) c.l885-d.l890, after which business continued by son, Wennerstrom Kullbergtill 1940s, though still listed as V. Kullberg. Maker to the Admiralty / The
Indian & Colonial Governments & navies of many countries. Partner from 1894 with Sanfrid Lundquist from Sweden.
