Gold repeating duplex watch
–
An extremely rare and heavy gold English triple case pocket watch with ruby duplex escapement and repeater, hallmarks London by Parkinson & Frodsham,  circa 1800. An 18K pink gold, London hallmarks of 1800, 3 cases, outer protective metal case, pink gold plated and decorated with green and brown tortoiseshell, nail decoration, sound openings, curved rim, both inner cases 18K pink gold, both cases pierced, inner case with bell, inner case decorated with bird heads, grotesques masks, rocailles and a view of the castle on the pendant, signed early and numbered full plate movement with rare ruby duplex escapement and repeater, probably later engine turned dial with pink gold indexes and decorative pink gold hands, early rare crank key, visually in very beautiful condition, technically complete, overhauling necessary. The watch is in this version an absolute rarity. Most triple case watches from this time were only made of metal and have no repeater. However, this is a top movement with a rare escapement, repeater and 18K gold inner cases.
