A fine English silver key wind quadruple cased pocket watch made for the Turkish market by Edward Prior, London, London Hallmark for 1845. Full plate gilt verge movement, fusee, pierced and engraved balance cock, silvered Turkish numerals regulation, small Egyptian pillars with pierced galleries above.
White enamel dial, Turkish numerals for hours and minutes, beetle and poker hands. Quadruple cased, plain polished inner case with a winding hole to back, silver plain second case, tortoiseshell covered third case with silver studs, leather protective outer case. Dial and movement signed.
