This watch is very rare. A silver piece by this manufacturer with the number 1017 already achieved CHF 3,000 in 2006. The 18K gold edition is a rarity for connoisseurs of this very early rack lever watches. Only very few of these watches were made with gold cases. The term “patent” on dome and dial refers to the patent of the inventor Peter Litherland in 1791.
