An exceptional English deck watch with regulator dial, circa 1887.
Silver polished case with case maker’s punch mark JO (James Oliver). Signed and numbered enamel dial with Roman numerals on eccentric hour dial, central Arabic minutes, auxiliary seconds, and blued spade hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, and gilt, with barrel, moulded pillars, English lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, fine florally engraved balance cock, and set diamond endstone on balance.
