An English silver pair cased repoussé and pierced verge pocket watch, with repetition on stamp of the hours and the quarters, circa 1725. The watch features a gilded full plate movement with cock, verge escapement, and wheel of meeting with its dust cover, signed DVPIN LONDON. The silver champlevé dial, signed Arnold London, displays Roman numerals, Arabic outer numerals, and Louis XV style hands. The silver pierced cases are finely engraved and decorated with repercé of foliated foliage, fantastic animals, and characters, with a central scene of a peasant near a spring.
