Large pocket watch with tortoise shell

A large triple case verge watch made by Thomas White in London, England, circa 1770. The open faced triple case of this watch was crafted from silver and has a tortoise shell, watch paper and English Hallmarks. The white enamel dial has Arabic five minute – and Roman hour numerals and fleur de lis hands. The magnificently decorated and numbered movement has a verge escapement.
Dial and movement are signed.
