Peterkin
John Peterkin was a London based pocket watchmaker in the period when pocket watches were not only time telling devices but also symbols of social status. He produced watches in the mid 19th century, with examples of his work, such as a pocket watch hallmarked in London in 1840, still appearing in auctions today. His watches featured a full plate movement signed by him, along with Roman numerals on the dial and an engine turned case.

Signed: John Peterkin, London
