Roberts
Evan Roberts (1836-1918) was a Welsh watchmaker and clock dealer who also built up a significant collection of his own, some of his watches were displayed at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Already towards the end of the 19th century there were several publications in which the collection was presented. After his death he left large parts of it to the Victoria & Albert Museum and the London Science Museum, others went to the National Museum of Wales.
