Silver verge pocket watch by Isaac Rogers

An as new verge pocket watch in a triple case for the Ottoman market made by a maker of great repute (G.H. Baillie), circa 1815. This watch has three cases: transport case – silver, applied shagreen with stud decoration; outer case – silver with engraved edges, watch paper by Isaac Rogers, and large lateral hinge; inner case – silver, polished.  The watch has an enamel dial displaying radial Ottoman numerals and is equipped with gold Poker and Beetle hands. It boasts a full plate movement that is signed, key wound, frosted, and gilt, enhanced with applied engraved ornaments. The movement includes a chain and fusee mechanism, moulded movement pillars, and a three arm steel balance. Furthermore, the balance cock is exquisitely florally engraved and pierced, complete with a vase decoration. vase decoration.
