Silver and covered with snakeskin verge by Marc Thomega
–
An impressive English pair-cased single-handed pocket watch with alarm, circa 1700. This English watch is in excellent condition. It has a silver pair case, with the outer case covered in snakeskin, sound openings, and a beautifully pierced inner case with tendrils, birds, and a bell. The watch features an early English verge movement with an alarm on the bell and a movement construction from circa 1700 with a signed plate and decorated barrel. The champlevé dial has Roman numerals, a central rotating alarm disc with Arabic numerals, and an iron hand.
