An English triple cased gentleman’s pocket watch made for the Ottoman market, circa 1835. A silver and tortoiseshell transport case with large lateral hinge and decorated with inlaid silver studs, a silver polished and tiered outer case with large lateral hinge, and the polished silver inner case with maker’s punch mark RL. Signed white enamel dial with radial Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minutes and gold arrow shaped hands. Signed, gilt, pierced and florally engraved full plate movement, key wound, chain and fusee, solid circular pillars, a cylinder escapement, three arm steel balance and pierced balance cock. A silver, decoratively engine turned and engraved, signed and numbered dust cover.
