An English silver repoussé double-cased verge pocket watch, circa 1785. This antique watch has a silver repousse outer case with a royal court scene. The inner case is smooth and has London Hallmarks from 1785. The watch has a signed and numbered verge movement. The original enamel dial is signed and has Roman radial hours, an outer minutes track with Arabic five-minute numerals and presumably original hands. The dial has some scratches, and the movement is complete, but the chain is unhooked. It needs to be revised, but it is in rare, probably completely original condition!
