An excellently preserved almost new observation chronometer, made by Ulysse Nardin in Locle, Switzerland, for the English military, circa 1940. Encased in a steel plain open faced case, this Ulysse Nardin chronometer bears the serial number 604390, attesting to its authenticity and uniqueness. The original white enamel dial remains in impeccable condition, proudly displaying the inscription “Chronometre.” With a central second hand and blued steel hands, this timepiece offers not only aesthetic appeal but also remarkable accuracy, with a measurable precision of 1/5 second.
The heart of this chronometer lies within its movement, which is numbered 120471. Ulysse Nardin’s expertise shines through in the design of the anchor chronometer escapement, a hallmark of their exceptional timepieces.
