A large military chronograph made for the Czechoslovakian Air Force by Lemania Watch Co in l’Orient, Switzerland, circa 1940. The chrome plated metal case of this watch bears the military marking Majetek Vojenske Spravy 50397 (Property of Military Administration 50397 in English) on the back lid. The enamel dial features black Arabic hours, an outer minute track, an outermost fifth and tenth of a second scale, a 30 minute counter at 12 o’clock, subsidiary seconds at 6 and heavy blued steel spade hands. The numbered movement is fitted with a gilt lever escapement and high speed oscillator.
The dial and movement are signed.
