Pocket watch: extremely heavy English half hunter, Jays London

An 18 Carat gold pocket watch made by Jays in London, England, circa 1706. The watch has a plain case of the highest quality, bearing London Hallmarks 1907 and master’s mark FT (Frederick Thoms) London. The white enamel dial of the watch is in very good condition and features an outer ring with Roman numerals for the hours, a subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock with Arabic numerals for the minutes and blued steel hands that add to its elegance. The movement is equipped with an English precision lever escapement, ensuring accurate timekeeping.
