A fine Swiss gilt open faced keyless lever pocket watch with chain made by Hamilton in Biel, circa 1940.
The polished case has a curved stepped bezel. Brushed silver dial with applied yellow gold Arabic numerals, outer minute dots, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and solid diamond/kite hands.
Movement with Geneva Striping decoration, 21 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to five positions, self compensating Breguet balance spring and micrometre regulator movement. A hinged gilt cuvette.
