A fine yellow gold minute repeating watch, circa 1888. Gilt half plate movement with double roller lever escapement, screwed in jewels and jeweled throughout, diamond endstone, off-white enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, outer minute track, 18k gold case, case back with crest and engraving Virgillis et Virtute, gold cuvette, hallmarked London 1888, case maker’s mark HMF.

Accompanied by a Certificate of Origin dated 4 November 2015 from Charles Frodsham & Co., Ltd., confirming manufacture in 1888. The certificate further notes that the movement was supplied by Golay in 1888.
