Gold keyless fusee with up/down dial by Clerke

An English keyless fusee free-sprung lever with power reserve in an 18-carat gold half hunter case, hallmarked London 1888. Gilt half-plate keyless movement with fusee and chain. Harrison’s maintaining power. Plain cock with diamond endstone. Compensation balance, free-sprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Substantial plain case with blue enamel chapter ring, two fly springs to the front cover. Monogram engraved on the back of a dragons head in an oval surmounted by a five-pointed crown. Plain gold cuvette. Maker’s mark ‘AS’ in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.
