A fine, early German 18-carat gold key wind hunting cased lever pocket watch with watch chain, circa 1866.
Nickel finished 2/3 plate movement, gold screw compensation balance, some jewels carried in screwed gold chatons. Gold cuvette. Silvered dial with engraved scrollwork highlighted by raised gold floral gold ornaments, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, and Fleur-de-Lys hands. Engine-turned case, the front lid with engraved cartouche DS. Dial and movement signed.
