An impressive and extremely rare gold enamel half hunter studded with diamonds – created for the Indian market, circa 1904.
An 18 carat gold/polychrome enamel case, enamel dial,3/4 plate movement, English lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance.
The front and back lids are decorated with arabesques in translucent enamel, partly over engine turned ground. The back is ornamented with a large diamond in the centre of a stylized enamel blossom studded with rubies and emeralds and surrounded by diamonds.
