A fine Swiss, silver and varicoloured gold, quarter repeating pocket watch with automaton Jacks, circa 1820. An Empire, engine-turned, reeded band, polished bezels. Gilt brass cuvette. Gold, engine-turned dial with Breguet numerals on a small white enamel dial, outer minute track, varicoloured gold and painted blackamoor jacks to each side appearing to strike two bells above, grassy base with a basket of flowers. Blued steel Scottie’s hands. Gilt brass, full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant.
