A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1863. The timepiece features a mechanical jewelled movement with a lever escapement. Its white enamel dial showcases radial Roman numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, and blued steel Breguet hands. The 18 carat yellow gold engine turned case has a cuvette, and a hinged back. It bears the signature of Patek Philippe. Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, confirming the date of sale on August 16, 1916.

The case cover and back show signs of wear, including pitting, and patina. There are also indentations on the cuvette. The dial has a hairline at 2 o’clock with some discoloration within the hairline and around the sub-seconds aperture. The hands show patina, especially at the centre arbour, and there is some dust present. The movement is operational but shows signs of wear.
