A French 18 carat yellow gold keyless hunting cased chronometer pocket watch, by Lip, circa 1913. This watch features a gold case with a hinged basin and a smooth gold bowl. It has an enamel dial with stylised Arabic numerals for 12 hour and red 24 hour markings, a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial, and spade hands. The mechanical movement includes a lever escapement, a compensated and cut balance spring, and advance and retard adjustment. Comes with a case from Durin in Clermont-Ferrand, with a running and adjustment bulletin dated January 1913, and an official Lip chronometer.
