Gold lever watch with 24 hour scale

A high quality French 18 carat gold open faced anker chronometer made by Auguste Hilaire Rodanet in Paris, circa 1914. The numbered plain case of this watch has a monogram on the back lid, its further numbered cuvette is inscribed 14 Mai 1914. The white enamel dial has black Arabic hour numerals 1 to 12, an outer minute track, outermost red Arabic 24 hours, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold spade hands. The numbered movement features an anker chronometer escapement with a particularly large balance. The case and movement have matching numbers, and the dial and cuvette are signed.
