A high quality anker chronometer, made by Auguste Hilaire Rodanet in Paris, France, circa 1914. The numbered open faced case of this watch is crafted from 18 carat gold and has a monogram on the back lid. The numbered cuvette is marked 14 Mai 1914 and the white enamel dial has a 24 hour scale with black Arabic numerals from 1 to 12 o’clock, red Arabic numerals from 13 to 24 o’clock, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands.
The numbered movement has an anker chronometer escapement with a particularly large balance.
The case and movement have matching numbers and the dial and cuvette are signed.
