Gold full hunter pocket watch

A heavy French 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless pocket watch with chronograph made by Breguet in Paris, circa 1894. Sold on January 4th, 1894, for the net price of 1.800 Francs. The watch features a round plain case with a decoratively engraved monogram on the front cover and a gold cuvette inscribed My dear husband New Year’s Day 1894. It slides on the case and has a push button, both signed and numbered inside. The white enamel dial displays Roman hours, a railway minute track, fifth of a second divisions, Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a blued central chronograph hand and gold spade hands. It is powered by a mechanical movement with crown winding, a bimetallic balance spring, lever escapement and a striking mechanism with two hammers on a gong.
