An extremely fine, rare and exceptional Swiss 18 Carat yellow gold, keyless pocket watch, circa 1994. A set with 735 diamonds (13,30 ct.) and 112 rubies (7,28 ct.) with perpetual calendar, 24 hour indication, moon phases and minute repeating. Accompanied by a specially made Patek Philippe 18 Carat gold display stand set with 515 diamonds (6,37 ct.) and 39 rubies (2,68 ct.) and Extract from the Archives. The Spirit of Fire Patek Philippe, Genève, was Made in 1994 and sold on July 25, 1994.
A curved bezel pavé set with brilliant cut diamonds and 20 calibre set baguette cut diamonds forming the quarter hour markers, calibre set rubies surrounding the dial for the hours, bow decorated en suite, the back cover pavé set with diamonds around the border, foliate engraved inner border and polished centre, brushed band, the repeating slide set with 12 brilliant cut diamonds, cabochon ruby set winding crown. Gold mask very finely engraved dial with foliate scrolls, pave diamond bordered matte silvered subsidiary dials for seconds and date, days of the week and 24 hours, months and leap year, aperture for the moon phase. Yellow gold baton hands. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, stamped with the Seal of Geneva, Quality Mark, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometre regulator.
Display Stand: Circular, 18 Carat gold, with rope twist and polished panels, pave set with diamonds and with cabochon, pear shaped and calibre set rubies, oval guilloché and polished base applied with scroll ornament Dial, case, movement and stand signed. Height of stand 16.5 cm, diameter 13.5 cm.
