An important, single handed splendour coach clock with hour self strike and alarm with original leather transport case, circa 1650. Bronze case, regilt, pierced and florally engraved edge, the back side with radial bars, rear bell. Applied silver chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, a turnable gilt and finely florally engraved alarm disc with Arabic numerals to the centre, single iron hand. Full plate movement, applied florally engraved and pierced decorations, regilt, signed, gut/fusee, baluster-shaped movement pillars, 2 orally engraved and pierced barrels, 1 hammer, locking plate, verge escapement, three arm iron ring balance.
