A fine, heavy and large French silver open faced deck chronometer with 32 hour power reserve indicator made by L. Leroy & Cie in Paris, circa 1890. The polished case with a gold crown, hinge and shackle. Signed white enamel dial with radial Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, sunk auxiliary seconds at 6 o’clock, power reserve indication at 12 and gold spade hands. Signed, frosted gilt bridge movement with a lever escapement, gold chatoned center wheel, gold screw compensation balance, ∅ 22 mm, and counterpoised lever.
