Silver open faced deck watch

A rare French silver open faced chronometer deck watch of the Service Hydrographique de la Marine made by L. Leroy & Cie in Paris, circa 1930. Delivered to the French Navy aviators’ base in Karouba, Tunisia. A polished case with the military engraving A 18485 T.S. Signed white enamel dial with radial Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, sunk auxiliary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued spade hands. Signed, frosted gilt bridge movement with a lever escapement and gold screw compensation balance. Accompanied by the original fitted box and transport box.
