A fine French quarter repeating pocket watch répétition à cuvette with chain/fusee, circa 1808. Sold on 5/5/1808 to Monsieur Albert for 1200 Francs, resold to an English colonel on June 2, 1814 – with an extract from the archives.
A solid 18-carat pink gold case with engine-turned design, model Collier by Breguet’s master case maker Joly, the dome signed. A signed silver dial with central engine-turned pattern with distinctive numerals and striking blued steel hands that take their name from Breguet himself. And a signed full plate movement, keywind, with two hammers, chain/fusee, shock protection, verge escapement on parachute, èchapement à ancre Anglais(anchor escapement), and three-arm brass balance.
