A fine quarter repeating French gentleman’s pocket watch à Toc – Montre Répétition Quarts à Toc, circa 1807. Sold on 09/11/1807 to Monsieur Quesnel for 1200 Francs – with a duplicate of the extract from the archives.
Engine-turned 18-carat gold case with monogrammed Q, ribbed band, quarter repeating pull-twist push-piece in the pendant, cuvette signed Breguet No. 2141. Signed white enamel dial with radial Breguet numerals, outer minutes track, blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, hammers, shock protection-parachute, going barrel, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, and three-arm brass balance.
