A very fine and rare French, 18K yellow gold and enamel keyless dress watch with indirect centre seconds, circa 1922. The back cover with Royal blue champlevé enamel monogram of interlaced Cs beneath a Viscount’s coronet. Matte silver dial with radial engine-turned, painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. Movement is made by European Watch & Clock Co., Inc., rhodium-plated, Geneva striping decoration, 20 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co., Inc., case numbered.
