A fine and rare French/Swiss 18K yellow gold keyless dress watch with a sector dial, circa 1935. Accompanied by the original Cartier gold-tooled red morocco box embossed with initials FC. A polished case, the interior of the back engraved Fernand Chantoin 1907-1937, faceted bow. Brushed silver dial with bold black sector indexes and Roman quarter-hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel lozenge hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch Co., the case with punch marks for Louis Cartier and Edmond Jaeger and numbered.
