A French 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond open faced key wind pocket watch made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris circa 1766. This watch features a full plate movement with a verge escapement. Its white enamel dial features radial Arabic hours, an outer minute track with quarter hour numerals and Louis XV hands. The case is adorned with diamonds and the beautiful polychrome enamel portrait of a woman in the center, surrounded by intricately applied flowers and leaves. The maker’s signature can be found on both the movement and the dial.
