Silver cylinder lady’s pocket watch

A fine French, silver, half-hunting cased keyless pendant watch and silver chatelaine en suite, circa 1850. Silver Watch & Chatelaine by Gustave Sandoz, Horloger de la Marine Imperiale, Palais Royal 147, Paris. An entirely chased and engraved with foliate scrolls, the front cover with radial Roman numerals on a polished chapter ring, the back with monogram, a hinged inner case with polished inclined bezel, suspended from a chain detachable from the chatelaine.

Hinged silver cuvette with an aperture for the folding winder. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost Arabic five-minute numerals. Silver Louis hands. A frosted gilt movement, bar calibre, cylinder escapement, three-arm, flat-rim gilt balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Movement and cuvette signed.
