An exquisite and very rare French ladies verge pocket watch with hour repeating, circa 1760. Movement from around 1800.
18 Carat gold high-grade crystal glass case with 5-part lateral hinge. Verge movement, pierced and engraved bridge cock with polished steel coqueret, silver regulation disc with blued steel indicator. Striking by depressing the gold pendant for hour striking on a gong.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute tracks, gilt serpentine hands.
