The entire watch is an exceptional quality in all areas and possibly a unique piece. The case is most likely a work of the famous casemaker/goldsmiths Francois-Désiré Froment-Meurice and Émile Froment-Meurice, who became famous for their unique renaissance style goldsmith work. Pocket watches with Froment-Meurice cases are wanted and extremely valuable collector’s objects.
