A rare French verge pocket watch with revolution decimal time 1-10 and normal time 1-12, circa 1790. This watch showcases a polished silver case with the case maker’s punch mark DR. The enamel dial features Arabic numerals for the hour indicator at 12, a decimal time hour indicator from 1-10 at 6, a revolution calendar at 3 and 9, and unique Poker and beetle hands. The watch’s movement is a full plate design, keywind, frosted and gilt, chain/fusee, circular movement pillars, a three-arm brass balance, and a finely engraved and pierced balance bridge adorned with floral motifs.
