Silver pocket watch with split seconds chronograph

A fine and rare silver keyless pocket watch with a split seconds chronograph and register. Made to commemorate the coronation of Tsar Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna by L. Leroy & Cie, Horlogers de la Marine, 7 Bd. de la Madeleine, Paris Circa 1896. Four body, bassine and polished case, its back cover with applied high relief silvered Russian Imperial coat of arms with the bust length portraits of Nicholas and Alexandra, olive shaped button at 1 o’clock for the split seconds, start/stop of the chronograph activated by depressing the crown and a hinged silver cuvette.
White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, outermost fifths of a second chronograph divisions, Arabic five seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register and gilt spade hands. Matte gilt movement with 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and an index regulator.
Dial and cuvette signed.
