Unusual pocket watch with lever escapement

An unusual quality 1A half hunter cased watch, made by Carl Moritz Grossmann in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1869. The numbered case of this watch is crafted from 14 carat gold and has a monogram on the back lid. The white enamel dial features a minute divided outer track with 5 minute red Arabic numerals, black Arabic numerals for the hours, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The numbered movement is fitted with a Glashütte precision lever escapement in best quality 1A, screwed gold chatons, a gold lever, a gold escape wheel and is marked ‘Glashütte B/Dresden”.
The case and movement have matching numbers.
