A German quarter repeating Glashütte hunting cased pocket watch with box, circa 1891. Sold in 1891 for the sum of 1026 gold Marks.
Frosted, gilt, chatoned 3/4 plate movement with two hammers / two gongs, glazed movement, gold screw compensation balance, hand-engraved balance cock, and a gold lever and escape wheel. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and blued spade hands. 18 Carat pink gold, polished case with engraved monogram DW and crown, case design Lucia, gold dome with presentation engraving: Meinem lieben Enkel gewidmet von seiner ihn treu liebenden Großmamma, and slide for repeating mechanism.
