A German gold hunting cased keyless lever chronometer watch in quality 1A, circa 1905. This watch features a first-quality gilded 2/3 plate movement, a gold lever and escape wheel, a large bimetallic compensation balance with large gold timing screws, a blued steel overcoil spring, a decoratively engraved balance cock, precision swan-neck regulation, a diamond endstone, and gold screwed chaton jewels. It is signed and numbered by Uhrenfabrik Union, Glashütte in Sachsen, with the serial number 55659. The dial is white enamel with Arabic numerals, an outer minute ring, a sunken centre, and a subsidiary seconds dial. It also has gold filigree hands and is signed Uhrenfabrik Union, Glashütte in Sachsen.

The 18k gold case has plain polished covers, a plain polished gold cuvette, and a hand setting lever beneath the bezel at 4 o’clock. All covers are signed by Uhrenfabrik Union, Glashütte in Sachsen, and bear Swiss and German control marks. The back cover and cuvette are numbered and the front cover is numbered.

Movement runs, winds, and sets smoothly. The surfaces appear to be in good aesthetic condition. The dial and case are both in good overall condition, with only some very minor pinhead depressions around the hinges and some scratching around the opening lips.
