A German, hunting cased Glashütte pocket watch – ANKERCHRONOMETER – manufactured in quality 1A – with Lange extract from the archives, circa 1885. Sold in 1885 to Dürrstein & Co., Dresden for 492 marks.
Signed, frosted, gilt 3/4 plate movement with screwed gold chatons, large gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, Grossmann’s fine adjusting device with knurled screws and threaded rod, gold lever, gold escape wheel, and a chatoned diamond endstone on balance. 18 Carat pink gold, tiered, polished case, case design Louis XV à goutte, and a gold dome numbered 18649. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, and gold Louis XV hands.
