A heavy German Glashütte hunting cased pocket watch, with lever chronometer, quality 1A, Circa 1901.
Sold on 03/16/1901 to the jeweller Carl Siegele, Berlin for 596 Marks – formerly with rating certificate of the observatory Leipzig, with certificate of the watch museum Glashütte and a copy of the Lange & Söhne records.
The case is 18 carat rose gold, engraved monogrammed and with glazed movement. The signed dial is white enamel with Arabic numerals, red for the minutes and black for the hours, subsidiary dial for the seconds and decorative gold hands. It has a 3/4 plate movement and a gold screw compensation balance.
