An oval, large German pendant watch case with later movement, circa 1620.
Brass, firegilt, polished case, the sides ornamented with florally openwork decor and hinged front lid. Brass, firegilt dial, chapter ring with engraved inlaid radial Roman numerals and Arabic numerals “13-24”, with central compass rose and single iron hand. Full plate movement, oval, firegilt, signed, with applied floral decorations, decorated edge, chain/fusee, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance and florally decorated and pierced balance cock.
